چکیده
Determining the compressive strength of concrete is important in all phases construction and diagnosing technical condition existing reinforced buildings facilities during their service. In this article, author presents experimental results from research conducted over 6 years. The following non-destructive methods were used tests—elastic rebound, ultrasonic, SonReb destructive methods, latter as a reference. tests carried out on specimens prepared day laying mix beams or cores taken beams. determination probabilistic using different at ages 28, 244, 280, 293, 342, 1126 1926 days, are presented. relative error, predicted accuracy determined compared. Isocurves drawn to determine for each point structure based only measurements obtained methods. via method assessing ultrasonic pulse velocity its relationship dynamic static modulus elasticity closest reference values.

Determination of concrete compressive strength of the structures in Istanbul and Izmit Cities (Turkey) by combination of destructive and non-destructive methods
Cylindrical concrete cores of 10 cm diameter and height were taken from the columns and shear walls of randomly chosen 5-40 years old reinforced concrete (RC) buildings located in different towns of Istanbul and Izmit (Kocaeli) in Turkey from 2000 to date. The ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) measurements and uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) tests were conducted on 200 concrete core specimens...
متن کاملImproving Non-Destructive Concrete Strength Tests Using Support Vector Machines
Non-destructive testing (NDT) methods are important alternatives when destructive tests are not feasible to examine the in situ concrete properties without damaging the structure. The rebound hammer test and the ultrasonic pulse velocity test are two popular NDT methods to examine the properties of concrete. The rebound of the hammer depends on the hardness of the test specimen and ultrasonic p...
متن کاملNon-Linear Non-Destructive Evaluation of Concrete
This paper explains non-linear non-destructive evaluation of concrete aimed at examining the occurrence of non-linearity under non-linear wave propagation through the concrete. Standard cubic concrete sections in damaged and undamaged conditions were investigated. The specimen was first damaged under compression testing and then subjected to non-linear ultrasonic evaluation in two directions i....
متن کاملConcrete Interlocking Paving Blocks Compression Strength Determination Using Non-destructive Methods
In this paper, the non-destructive testing methods are analyzed in view of their usability in evalulation of the interlocking paving blocks’ compressive strength. Ultrasonic pulse method and impact method (Schmidt impact hammers) were chosen for testing. Testing methodology and way of the results processing considering requests of the national and European standards are described there. In addi...
متن کاملExamining Concrete Cores by Non-destructive Techniques
Computed Tomography (CT) scanning has served as an important non-destructive research tool by providing twoand three-dimensional images particularly in medicine, biology and materials science. An example of its application in the area of materials is reported. Experimental study was carried out to investigate the effect of location within column element on the strength and porosity characterist...
